Sponsored posts on Penrith Star
A sponsored post is a full article about your product, your research or your business, written to the same standard as everything else here and labelled so readers know who paid for it.
What you get
- An article of 900 to 1,500 words, researched and written by our editorial team, or your draft edited to house standard.
- Two dofollow links to pages you choose, placed where they make sense in the copy.
- A slot on the homepage for seven days and permanent placement in the relevant category.
- One send to the newsletter list.
- A clear Sponsored label at the top of the article and
rel="sponsored"on commercial links, as Google requires. - The article stays up permanently unless you ask us to remove it.
Pricing
| Package | Includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | You supply the draft, we edit and publish | $350 + admin fee |
| Written for you | We interview you and write it from scratch | $550 + admin fee |
| Feature | Written for you, plus newsletter and homepage feature for a month | $850 + admin fee |
The admin fee
Sponsored articles carry the same $150 admin fee as guest posts, on top of the placement price. Community groups and local not for profits are exempt from the fee, as they are everywhere else on this site.
What the $150 covers:
- A full edit to house style, including the headline, structure and cuts.
- Fact checking every claim and figure, and removing anything we cannot verify.
- Checking every link, and marking commercial links correctly.
- Sourcing, sizing and captioning images, including the featured image.
- Formatting, scheduling, publishing and adding the article to the relevant category.
- Hosting the article permanently, and keeping it working when things move.
Payable only after we accept the piece. Pitches cost nothing to send and nothing to have declined. The fee does not buy the link, does not buy an acceptance, and does not change a single editorial decision.
Our rules, plainly
We will not pretend a sponsored article is independent coverage. The label stays on. We will not publish claims we cannot check, comparison tables that quietly rank you first, or anything that reads as a review when it is an advertisement. If that is a deal breaker, we are the wrong site and we will say so on the first email rather than the fifth.
Turnaround
Drafts you supply usually go live within three business days. Articles we write take seven to ten days, because interviews and fact checks take time. Rush placement is possible at a 30 percent loading when the calendar allows.
